Wednesday in Gaziantep

Our day started with the prapartion of the debate about "Is higher education a requirement to succeed in life?".

Walking at ParkAntep (like our "Parque da Paz" but better) was a good choice.

Afterwards we took breakfast at a Comenius mother's house.

Visiting the museum of the city gave us more information about this city, the traditional uses and tipical handicraft.

The bazar was a good surprise in the afternoon.

And now...preparing to our trip to Capadocia. We will arrive there at 6:00 AM.

Tuesday: City Tour at Gaziantep

We went to Gaziantep Mozaik Museum.

The Gaziantep Zeugma Museum is world’s one of the most important museums in terms of both its building complex and its collection. We saw beautiful things, one 3D presentation and the world-renowned ‘Gypsy Girl’ mosaic.

Then the Science Museum and the Planetarium.

After a quick lunch at City Hall we went to the Gaziantep Zoo, one of the biggest in Europe:

After the Zoo we went to the Castle and saw all Gaziantep from a hight point.

Monday at Gaziantep

We are having some problems with our blog. Turkish national rules don´t allow us the access and therefore, there will be no publications during our stay in Turkey.

We will try, with some help from teacher Isabel Marques, to put some information (via Portugal).

Today (monday) we went to the Gaziantep Anatolian High School and had a fantastic reception: tradiotional dances and traditional food. We learned more about Mustafa Kemal Attaturk, the "father" of Turkey.

All the partners presented their work about spending time in a eco and friendly way.

Then we went to the cityhall where the Mayor welcomed us.

Tomorrow we will have a city tour.

OUR SCHOOL JUBILEE

On October 13, 2012 our school celebrated its 40th anniversary. On this occasion a few festivities were held, in which participated the school graduates, teachers, and -first of all- our special guests. Among them were our friends from Portugal, who honoured the jubilee with their presence to mark a long-lasting cooperation with our school within the Comenius projects.
We are truly grateful to them for that. Thank you a lot!
Here are a few snapshots taken on this special day:

THE POLISH TEAM FOR GAZIANTEP

Hello everybody !

as they say, it's better LATE than NEVER, so here we come! The Polish Team for Gaziantep ready to meet you in person in a couple of days. We simply can't wait to shake your hands and say 'hi'.

The three pretty girls in the foreground of the photo are eager to present themselves to you, so let's get to know them a little bit better:

KASIA JANTOS

Hello. My name is Kasia, I’m 16 years old. I live in Polkowice in Poland with my parents and sister. I go to high school. I’m interested in the world. I like discovering new countries, new languages and new people. In junior high school I was a volunteer and I helped other volunteers from many countries as a translator and guide. I liked this so much. My hobby is music (I sing, play the guitar and listen to a lot of music). But mostly I like hanging out with my friends. I love talking with them, laughing with them and even learning with them. I’m interested in animals. In my house I’ve got a dog and a guinea pig. I love horses. I don’t practice professionally, but I ride for fun. I’m open for the world and people, I’m funny and smart (I think ;)).
JOANNA KAWA
