Last day of a wonderful week

After a week in Aix-en-Provence we arrived at Lisbon aeroport. Beatriz' family was wating for a Happy Birthday.

Shopping Day

All day in Aix-en-Provence shopping. Callissons, macarons, french cheese, wine, soap and so on....

A group with portuguese teachers and students from Portugal, Turkey, Poland and France.

Tomorrow we will have difficulties to pack.

Yesterday morning we visited an exhibition called "Eaux Précieuses / Eaux Sauvages" Because 2012 is the year of water This is an exhibition under the sign of humanism, of dreams and not under that of the terrible consequences of a raging water.

In the afternoon we visited the Saint Victoire mountain with a special guide. We have a chance to see natural landscaps and we walk 6 km under a shinnig sun.

Presentation of our school

Today was a day with a lot of activities.Early in the mornig we presented a film about the mobility in Almada.After that our student Beatriz presented a work about fado and sing a beautiful song called "Ó gente da minha terra". It was a great moment to all. Congratulations Beatriz.

In the afternoon we presented our work about Water and gave to every body some special devices (a gift from our city wall) to do not waste water. Such a good idea, everybody said.

The dinner was with all the host families.

And then it was time to say good bye to our Greek friends. See you next time.

My fun days

Saturday:
Saturday I had to get up at 04:20 to be at the airport at 06:00.
Around 6:25 we went to the check-in.
Then we went and Ana Marta was going to eat pancakes for MACDONLADS!
At 08:00 we left for France, on the plane we take photographs to us and the snow.

Breakfast was great was chicken and chips
The rest of Saturday I stayed home and played, with my host family.
For dinner I ate taglietella with sausages.

Sunday:

In the morning we went to "Les Baux en Provence" was very funny we saw beautiful landscapes.

At lunch I ate pizza.
In the afternoon we were at home.

Monday:
In the morning we were in a room talking with our new friends, then we went to meet the college and high school.
The lunch was very good we eat chicken and chips.
After lunch we will be jumping rope with a scarf and we put people looking at us and laugh at was embarrassing but funny too.
Then we visited the chapel of Sacre Coeur.
After we visited Aix-En-Provence is beautiful, has a lot of sources.
After 17:00 I was at home with my host "sister".

Tuesday:

In the morning saw a few students to read poems from various countries and from Portugal they read poems by Fernando Pessoa.

Then we visit the municipal council.

We went back to school for lunch and lunch sausages with lentils.

After lunch we played volleyball with a team of school and it was fun

Then we went to Bimont, visited the Roman aqueduct and the dam Zola

Regional Nature Reserve of Camargue

Today we visited the "Musée Camarguais" in the national park of Camargue which retraces the natural and human history of the Camargue from its geological foundation to the present day. The territory of Camargue covers the delta of the Rhône and part of the Commune of the Saintes-Maries de la Mer.

we also see pink flamingos because one of the goals of the Park is the conservancy and protection of the pink flamingos. After having lunch at Saintes-Maries de la Mer we discover "The little Rome in Gaul" - Arles were we saw l'eglise Saint-Trophine, the Theatre et the Amphitheatre. The teatchers Sandrine and Amandine where very kind to organize this visit. Thanks to all.

Tuesday

The day began with presentation about the importance of water. The little students from teacher Elisa behave fantastic.

We heard some poetry about the water. Alexandra, a french student, read some poem from Fernando Pessoa:

A ÁGUA da chuva desce a ladeira.

É uma água ansiosa.
Faz lagos e rios pequenos,

e cheira A terra a ditosa.
Há muitos que contam a dor e o pranto

De o amor os não qu'rer...

Mas eu, que também não os tenho, o que canto

É outra coisa qualquer.

After we went to City council where the mayor welcome us.

In the afternoon we went to see the Zola´Dam at Bimont. Fantastic landscape with the Mount Saint Victoire in the back.

Monday - welcome at Sacré Coeur

Welcome at Sacré Coeur Collège and Lycée and visit of the 2 schools.

Then lunch at school and a visit of the great Sacré Coeur chapel.

Teacher Elisa and her husband guided us to know the most important fountains of Aix-en-Provence.

Sunday at Provence

An late brunch at teacher Elisa´s house with a fantastic musical presentation.

After the brunch we went for a walk to see the Mount Sainte-Victoire and the place where Cézanne painted.

Then we went to the vineyard Chateau La Coste to receive an introduction to all the steps of wine making and learn how organic principles are implemented. We had the opportunity to taste the white and rosé wine.

Aix-en-Provence

We had a nice trip and teachers and families were waiting for us at airport. I´t was nice to meet again our friends.

The students went with the families to have nice week end and enjoy the french life.

The teachers went to Aix, a pleasant city with lots of tipical sweets ("macarons" and "calissons").
